What a day for Year 7!
They took part in a workshop on flight with Sentinus as we are currently learning about the topic 'Up in the Air'.
Peter gave them a summary of the history of flight and demonstrated aerodynamics.
The children split into small groups and firstly designed a windmill.
After a break they came back in to create rockets! Each team designed their rocket carefully and then it was time to test them out on the playground.
They couldn't believe how high they went! It was a very exciting morning.
A big thank you to Peter Waugh from Sentinus for being incredibly kind, enthusiastic and considerate with the children all morning. They had a wonderful time!
