This week in Room 12 we have completed a range of activities related to Children's Mental Health Week. This year's theme was 'Growing Together' and we discussed how we have grown as people, both emotionally and academically. We watched Place2Be's virtual assembly and completed a wonderful activity along with them! After drawing a star, we all gave ourselves a target to work towards for the rest of Year 7.
We then wrote on the inside of a brick how we have grown emotionally already since the start of Primary 6 and 7. This started the foundations of a 'Growth Wall' in our classroom, which will be built brick by brick across the next few months.
Everyone also had no written homework as a treat, although we filled in a '5 Steps to Wellbeing' record sheet across the week. The 5 steps are based around giving, taking notice, learning, being active and connecting with others. It was wonderful to hear everything we have all been up to throughout the week.
