Year 6 chose the sunniest and driest day of the week to go on our final outing of the year. We had a brisk stroll over to the Omniplex Cinema for a showing of The Little Mermaid and a kind and efficient staff member even opened up the shop just for us!! Stocked up with popcorn and other treats we settled down to watch the film. Reviews were generally very good - Zach declared it a 9 out of 10 and Mr Morgan managed to stay awake through the whole film which is a very rare event. Unfortunately staff were prevented from joining in all the classic tunes which surely would have added to the occasion.
Our next stop was the Grange Park. After another brisk stroll we found a suitable spot for our picnic lunch and then spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the swings, slides, climbing frames etc. An ice-cream van even turned up to serve ice-creams and cold water.
All that was left was to stroll (slightly less briskly) back to school just in time to go home. We all had a great day out and here are a few pictures to enjoy!
