A Civil Engineer visits OCPS!
14th Feb 2020
For their topic 'Bridges', Mrs Alcorn and Miss Lockington's classes enjoyed a flavour of what life is like as a civil engineer this week as they had a visit from past pupil Adrian Pollock.
The children impressed him with their excellent knowledge of the subject and listened carefully to what his job role involves on a daily basis. It was a real treat to get to see some videos and behind the scenes photographs of the building of the bridges on 'The Gobbins' path. The children have been inspired to work hard at their STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and maths).
Thank you to Mr Pollock for giving up his time.
