Year 1 Parents Stay and Play at Forest School
This week it was the children in Year 1’s turn to be the teachers when they led their adults to Forest School. The children did a super job of demonstrating the rules to their adult and making sure they stayed within the safe boundary. The adults did well to find so many ‘worms’ that the children hid in the forest but were no match for the experienced children.
After a short talk about some of the birds that could be found in the forest, the children and their adults built some very creative nests using the natural resources found on the forest floor.
All the hard work was rewarded with a tasty snack before taking up positions to cheer on Year 7 during their colour run.
Well done to all the children, parents, grandparents and cousins for taking part in this very enjoyable end of year ‘stay and play’.
