Year 1 “Parent Stay & Play” at Forest School
Today, Year 1 got to take on the role of 'teacher' as they led their grown-up's on a very special adventure. Parents and pupils participated in a 'Stay & Play' forest school session. The weather was amazing!
The sun shone as the boys and girls taught all the adults our forest school rules and gave them a guided tour of our outdoor classroom. After a game of follow the leader, we went on a real bear hunt...who knew so many bears lived in Arleston Park. There was lots of competition (from the adults) as we worked in teams to design Goldilocks her own house...hopefully this will prevent her from breaking in to the Three Bear's Cottage again.
A morning of hard work called for some rest and refreshments. Cheese, biscuits and grapes were on the menu for snack at forest school this week - yum yum!
Thank you to all of the adults who came along - we really appreciated you being such good sports. (Hopefully no adults were harmed during our expedition!)
