Year 1 ‘Build a Bear’ at Forest School!
This week, Year 1 headed back to the woods to hunt for bears. We were delighted to find moon bear, spectacle bear, panda bear, black bear, brown bear, sun bear and sloth bear. One very clever little explorer even found a polar bear camoflaging amidst the trees. Amazing!
The children were then inspired to create their own bears to live at Forest School. Everyone had great fun using natural items from the forest floor to make their bear features. If you go down to the woods today...you might find one of our Year 1 bears hiding in the trees.
Another discovery in Year 1 this week was a newly built wasp nest in our playhouse. Mrs Pollock was very brave and managed to take a photo for us to look at together on the interactive whiteboard. We used our observational skills to describe what the nest looked like.
Have a lovely weekend everyone,
Mrs Pollock & Ms Bunce
