Year 1 head off on their first adventure to 'Forest School'!
Year 1 headed off on a great big adventure today for their first Forest School lesson in Arleston Park.
After carefully crossing the road and making the long journey through the park, the children were ready for a rest when we arrived at our 'home spot' within the forest. We were really impressed at their listening as we used our class whistle to help us learn the forest school rules. Can anyone remember what we had to do when we heard one whistle blow or two? The boys and girls had great fun playing a game of birds and worms within our safe boundary. Can you remember who caught the most worms?
Such a busy morning worked up an appetite - we were very glad to tuck into a forest feast of sandwiches, biscuits and oranges before heading back to school. Yum yum!
What a terrific morning out - we look forward to heading back next week again.
Enjoy a lie in tomorrow after such a busy day today Year 1,
