Year 1 go ‘Wild in the Woods’ at An Creagan
This week, Year 1 headed off to An Creagan for their final shared education adventure of this academic year.
After an exciting journey on the bus, the children met Nuala from 'Relax Kids' who led them through the forest to complete the seven steps of well-being. Lots of yoga, singing, dancing and crafts ensured everyone was able to unwind while outdoors. Nuala was so impressed with their behaviour she treated everyone to popcorn mallows over the camp fire...yum yum!!
Once lunch was eaten, it was time to go 'Wild in the Woods'. There were huge smiles all around as Year 1 had fun climbing, digging, sliding, swinging and role-playing amidst the trees. (The very mucky puddle-suits were a sign of a great day out!)
The boys and girls in Year 1 have enjoyed a wonderful year with their friends from Holy Family Primary School. Together, they have participated in regular play dates, forest school lessons and even a trip to Arvalee. Today's trip marked the end of this academic year but hopefully the beginning of friendships that will last through their journey at primary school.
Enjoy looking at some of the photographs!
