Year 1 Forest School Adventures with Holy Family!
Mrs Pollock’s class embraced the elements on Thursday and headed off to Forest School with their friends from Holy Family!
OCPS pupils loved teaching Mrs Prunty’s class the rules of the forest - we are visitors in the forest so we have to make sure we leave it just as we find it. Everyone had lots of fun exploring length, more than/less than and developing our counting skills. We worked hard in teams to ‘camouflage’ in nature by playing the worm game (ask us about this at home).
Year 1 weren’t long working up an appetite, so enjoyed tucking into some biscuits before the walk back to Omagh County. Highlight of the walk was meeting a friendly grey squirrel who seemed very happy to see us!
Ms Bunce class were disappointed the snow prevented them from getting on the trip on Friday, they are looking forward to a new date being arranged. Mr Anderson had their classroom lovely and cosy on Friday morning so they were able to play indoors for a change!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
