Year 1 Get Growing!
We have been busy this week preparing the vegetable and flower patches in the Year 1 garden. After lots of little hands helping to prepare the soil, we planted lettuce, onions, peas and wildflowers. We can't wait to watch them grow. The children enjoyed it so much they even got stuck into washing the playground equipment - Jimmy will be delighted!
We have been learning about...
- Two letters making one sound (ff, ll and ss)
- What a fact file is and how to write one
- Time (identifying the difference in analogue and digital clocks, making a clock)
- The life cycle of a frog
- Numbers 11-15
- Diary Writing
A huge well done to all of the boys and girls in dictation today - their confidence is growing every week!
**We are going to be cleaning up our garden area over the coming weeks. If you have any old flower pots, watering cans or gardening equipment that you are throwing out we would be delighted to take it off your hands. The boys and girls would love to expand their Summer garden.**
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Pollock & Miss Peters
