Our last full day! We had to leave Wales for a few hours today as our destination was Liverpool. First stop was Anfield, home of the mighty reds, (former) multiple champions of England and (former) kings of European football. We had a very interesting tour of the stadium followed by a bit of bargain hunting in the club shop.
Next, we enjoyed lunch al fresco overlooking the Mersey and then walked through historic Albert Dock to the Maritime Museum. We learned a bit about Liverpool's past as a world famous port, and enjoyed the section about smuggling! Finally we headed back over the border to Wales (hoorah!), had chips for tea and headed out for swimming, pebble collection and beach walking.
All that's left to do is pack carefully and fit in another couple of hours on the beach and pier before the journey home - we're sure it's been quiet without us!!
