All Primary 1 to Primary 7 children had a visit from the Dogs Trust this week.
Paula delivered a 'Happy Dog Rules' workshop to the children in P1 to P3. This workshop uses role play, repetition and action to teach the children 5 safety rules about their own behaviour to ensure the dogs in their lives are relaxed and happy.
P4 to P7 classes focussed on the five senses and the children were encouraged to consider and implement a more compassionate, realistic understanding of what is safe and appropriate behaviour around both the dogs they share their homes with, as well as those belonging to other people.
