Our new topic is 'The Jungle' and what better way to get started than to explore in our very own forest school jungle!
First we enjoyed a jungle themed story. Next we had to find 'snakes' and join them together to see who could make the longest snake line. Well done boys - your line was ever so slightly longer!
We selected three twigs and put them in order from longest to shortest. Then we used cubes to measure our twigs. When we measure for length we had to remember to start at one end and measure up to the other end, join the cubes together and count carefully. Can you remember how long your twigs were?
We are looking forward to measuring length with other non-standard units in Play Based Learning next week.
