Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and began this week. Room 5 learned that Muslims fast during Ramadan as a way of learning to wait for things and to have empathy and understanding for people who do not have as much as themselves. We also learned that Muslims visit their place of worship, a mosque, more often. Room 5 drew a picture of a mosque which we are very happy to share with you.
