Professor Fluffy hosts Year 7 in Belfast!
A few weeks ago Year 7 headed off on the bus all the way up to Belfast following a very kind invitation from our special (purple) academic friend Professor Fluffy. We were given a tour of Queen's University, including a walk around the quadrangle and a visit to the CS Lewis room in the university library. We had lunch in the splendidly posh Great Hall, followed by a technology challenge which involved making a parachute for Prof Fluffy's nephew. Prizes were awarded for the best and safest parachute, and I'm happy to say that Peter Purple came through it all largely unscathed. Thanks to Queen's for inviting us and hopefully giving our pupils an insight into university life for them to consider in the years ahead.
