Our new June topic called 'Pirates' started this week. In play based learning we did weigh play, measuring the pirate treasure using non-standard units. Children created a wooden boat and labelled parts of it learning about the portholes, bow, stern and crow's nest etc. Then at the craft table, the children painted pirates and made hats. We played some pirate games and created on the play dough pirate boards.
