Mr Morgan’s Year 6 class recently visited the Strule Arts Centre to take part in FODC's Omagh Music Heritage Tour. We really didn’t know what to expect! We learnt about local musicians, for example Big Tom and Philomena Begley, and the history of showbands in the Omagh area. There were costumes, musical instruments and even an old juke box! There were also lots of great photographs from the “olden days”. We shared our break time with the Strule’s resident heron, they were having fish again! Thanks to Melissa and the team for an interesting morning of musical history.
