⭐⭐Omagh County Winners! ⭐⭐
10th Apr 2025
Lena and Jessica represented Omagh County Primary School today at the Fermanagh and Tyrone District Council, Environmental Youth Speak 2025 Competition. The girls competed against 15 other schools across Tyrone and Fermanagh. All the children were fantastic and the standard was extremely high across the board, but we are delighted to announce that Omagh County Primary School were awarded the top prize on the day!👏👏👏
Lena and Jessica spoke to a full hall of adults and children, discussing "Where Would We BEE Without Pollinators?"
The girls explored the theme, clearly and confidently answering:
1. Who are the local pollinators and what is their role?
2. Why are pollinators in decline?
3. What are the impacts of pollinator loss on nature?
4. What are the impacts of pollinator loss for people?
5. What can 'I' do to help?
A HUGE congratulations to the girls for making our Team O.C.P.S. extremely proud!👏
