Jubilee Celebrations at OCPS!
Today, staff and pupils at Omagh County Primary School and Nursery celebrated Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee. The boys and girls dressed regally for the momentous occasion and joined together to throw a whole school street party. The specially decorated cupcakes prepared by our kitchen staff were a real treat!
After lunch, the school community was entertained by a variety of artists. Piper Thomas Winters, Senior Choir (accompanied by Louis King on drum), Junior Choir (made up of pupils from Mrs Crosbie and Mrs Mather's classes) and Tom Sweeny provided some light backing music while families enjoyed the glorious weather. How wonderful to be able to come together again as a whole school community. The afternoon ended with everyone joining in the singing of the Platinum Jubilee Anthem to mark the occasion.
A huge thank you to the kitchen staff for lunch, James and Richard for setting up equipment and to the staff and Year 7 pupils who helped arrange seating and tables. A special mention also to the family members who attended our outdoor concert - you really added to the atmosphere.
Have a fantastic back holiday weekend everyone and enjoy some much needed rest after a busy week at OCPS!
