International Day of Languages in Room 5
24th Sep 2021
Our classmate Matiss was very proud to explore Latvia with his friends during our International Day of Languages celebrations. We learned that the Venta Rapid in Kuldīga is the widest waterfall in Europe – stretching up to to 270 metres depending on the season. Did you know that Latvia’s current flag design has been in use since 1280. Only Denmark’s has been around longer. So, if you meet us on your travels we might say 'sveiki' instead of hello and if you know Latvian maybe you could help us practise saying goodbye (uz redzēšanos) as we found that a bit trickier!
