Over the last few weeks Year 4 have enjoyed getting outside for their Wednesday P.E lesson.
Each week the boys and girls have been introduced to a new hockey skill. As hockey was new to the boys and girls they started out using the plastic hockey sticks to gain the basic skills. These will then be replaced with wooden hockey sticks when the pupils participate in hockey in Years 5 to 7.
So far the boys and girls have learned how to hold and use a hockey stick correctly, dribble and stop the ball and make a push pass. Next week they will be learning how to make a block tackle followed by some highly anticipated mini hockey games!
