P2 took a step back in time on our trip to the Ulster American Folk Park.
We started the day by visiting the ‘Old World’ where we found out what houses and schools were like in Ulster long ago. We met a very strict teacher and a very friendly blacksmith!
After lunch we travelled to the docks where we boarded a boat to America. Life onboard the ship wasn’t much fun- no room and no toilets for at least 8 weeks!
When we arrived in the ‘New World’ we made a trip to the General Store where we could buy almost anything! We travelled past a pumpkin patch to visit a log cabin and the Pennsylvanian farm house.
