Room 5 set out for a walk to McCauley Park to explore the trees and hopefully spot some wildlife. We saw fallen conkers, beechnuts and acorns; magpies and lots of little birds who were too fast for us to identify. During our walk we stopped to watch the water rushing down the river and to our surprise saw some fish trying to jump upstream! Some of them jumped really high and we found it was difficult to tear ourselves away from such an unusual sight. We made a mental note to research this when we got back in the classroom.
