Finding out about life during World War Two
Primary four had great fun today with the Active Learning Company, finding out about life during World War Two. Before we started we worked in our groups to find out what we already knew about the topic and what we really wanted to find out.
We spent all morning in the hall working our way around all the different activities; searching for household artefacts, locating countries on maps, playing war time games, handling war time weapons, dressing up, playing shadows on the wall, decoding war messages and performing drills! After that we headed back to the classroom to make our very own wartime medals.
The afternoon was exhausting, learning to march in time with a weapon! Well done to Jake Weir who won a medal for his ability to remember all the commands!
