April in Mrs Alcorn's Year 4

After a very restful Easter break Year 4 have quickly settled back into the routines of school life.
This month they have been:
- learning about weight and length in Numeracy.
- revising their x2, x10 and x5 multiplication facts.
- learning about contractions and speech marks in Literacy.
- starting Paired Reading.
- continuing to plan and write their own stories.
- displaying their artist talent by recreating Monet's bridge scene.
- using their ICT skills to code a sprite in Scratch.
- working as a team to create fantastic polydron and knex bridges.
- developing their Scottish Country Dance skills!
- learning how to keep safe with a visit from Geda Goodbear.
