A busy end to May for Year 1!
The boys and girls in Year 1 packed a lot into the three days they were in school this week.
On Wednesday, they enjoyed their last day of Forest School in Year 1. After listening out for bird song and then looking for the birds they made some bird feeders using cheerios and pipe cleaners.
Amy from Sustrans came to test everyone’s road safety skills on Thursday and was very impressed by how much everyone knew. Afterwards, Mrs Stronge also arranged for some fluffy yellow visitors to surprise Year 1…can you spot them in our photographs?
On Friday, everyone brought a teddy or cuddly toy to school and practised writing their home address onto a label for their toy to wear. (They had been inspired by the story of Paddington.) In true teddy bear fashion, we ended the week with a big bowl of porridge. Not too hot, or too cold…it was just right! 🧸
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
