Daffodil Coffee Morning
On Wednesday 25th March Omagh County P.S. held a Daffodil Coffee Morning. Family and friends saw the assembly hall transformed by the signs of Spring and Easter as the grey winter days were resigned to the past.
School Melas Staff treated all those present to an array of scones and cup cakes while entertainment was provided by the pupils. The focus was on Spring flowers and in particular the daffodil and the work of Marie Curie.
Kathryn Bingham and past pupil Emily Collins opened with Fiona's song from Shrek. The junior and senior choir provided a medley of songs, while Year 1 pupils Isabella Crook and Josh Duncan and Year 3 pupil Miley Gibson recited poems about daffodils, while year 6 and 7 pupils gave everyone an insight into the work of Marie Curie.
Mia Pauley recited William Wordsworth's 'The Daffodils'. The school were delighted that her grandfather, Mr Joe Edgar, chairperson for Marie Curie, was able to attend and listen to grand daughter and speak to everyone.
Many thanks to everyone who attended our Daffodil morning and supported the work of Marie Curie.
