Year 1 release their butterflies!
Year 1 have been carefully monitoring the changes in their class caterpillars over the past number of weeks. This week seen the most exciting transformation to date as five beautiful butterflies emerged from their cocoons.
We would have loved to have kept them as pets, however, we understand that living in a classroom would not be the correct environment for a butterfly. This afternoon, we released them in our Year 1 playground. Maybe you will spot one when you are walking past on Monday!
This was the perfect way to end another busy and fun filled week. In class, we have been thinking about Paddington Bear and have been making our own jam sandwiches, labelling our teddies and learning our addresses. Our teddy bears are now well prepared incase they ever get lost!
REMINDER - Sports Day on Monday 30th May (please wear PE kits, bring a rug to sit on, a water bottle and a healthy snack)
Have a lovely weekend,
