Ancient Egypt comes to Room 11

In room 11, we have been working really hard learning all about the Ancient Egyptian farming life and equipment needed to do this! We learnt what a Shaduf is! This is a piece of equipment used to collect water from the River Nile using a bucket and counter weight. This water could then be used in the near by fields. 

We decided to put our building skills to the test and built our own Shaduf’s and even tested these! Some Architects within year 5 I do believe!
