Amazing April
We have been off school for the Easter holidays, but we still managed to learn a lot of new things in school.
We planted our own sunflowers and have really enjoyed watching them grow. They are watered everyday in class and Miss Bleakley takes them home on a Friday to make sure they get taken care of over the weekend. We decorated a sunflower in our sensory art activity, we used lots of different textured materials to make our flowers, aren’t they beautiful?
We made a healthy fruit salad and enjoyed preparing the food. We peeled oranges, used an apple corer to divide the apple into sections and cut the fruit using a knife. There was a lovely smell in the classroom.
We have been learning about traditional fairy tales and have been making items from the stories. We made and decorated our own magic harp using recycled cardboard that we had collected. We planted broad beans to see if we can grow a beanstalk as tall as Jack’s beanstalk.
We hope you enjoy our photographs.
