As a special treat to mark the end of term, Year 1 attended a special story time session at Omagh Library today. Julie, the librarian, was extremely impressed with the excellent listening skills and had lots of willing helpers as she read through a variety of books. The children heard all about the different events happening in the library over the Summer and we have no doubt they will be back to borrow books in the near future.
On route back to Omagh County, Year 1 stopped off at The Sweet Spot for ice-cream. A huge thank you to Conor, Una and their team for making us so welcome. Yum yum!
We were very lucky to have lots of adult volunteers to accompany us on our trip today. One of our helpers was Isaac's Auntie Wendy who is visiting from Australia. Wendy very kindly took some time to talk to us about what life is like in Australia. We really liked hearing about the different animals, weather and school routines - swimming in the sea sounds like a fun PE lesson. Thank you Auntie Wendy!
