A busy start to the year in Room 1
Room 1 have had a great start to 2022 and are so glad that we are back in the classroom.
In maths we have been learning all about money and we even have our own shop in class.
We used the class laptops to earn points on Studyladder and are working towards gaining our next certificates.
In literacy, we used the Explain Everything app on the iPad to record our News as well as writing it in our News books.
Our World Around Us topic is Forces and Movement and we have been learning all about the forces that allowing things to move. We experimented with different toys in school, and also our bodies.
Six Bricks activities have helped us with our numeracy and literacy. We enjoy using the bricks to help us to build real and nonsense words using the sounds we know. We take turns to build the words and our friends write them on their wipe board. Then they decide if it is a real or nonsense word.
We practised our writing and mark making using wipe boards. We are getting really good at recording our numerals and letters.
Action Mental Health came in to school to help us to learn about our feelings. We learned some new techniques to manage our emotions. We have been practising the roller-coaster breathing J
