Look what Room 5 found...
We took advantage of the beautiful sunny weather at the start of term and completed our Daily Mile out on the playing fields. There's always something to catch your attention on the daily walk but our interest was particularly drawn to the mushrooms which we spotted everywhere. Back in the classroom we decided to learn more which led to us dissecting mushrooms we bought from the shop and studying them through drawing and observation. We concluded our study by sculpting our own mushrooms out of clay.
Autumn is the perfect time of year to spot fungi so, when you're out and about keep a look out as there are some weird and wonderful specimens. Remember not to touch them as some of them could make you very sick.
