York Trip Day 2

22nd May 2018

History Day is history! We learned all about the amazing story of York Minster and the ancient Viking streets of Jorvik, before moving on to discover how York became such an important centre for sweets and chocolate manufacture. We sampled various chocolates - some delicious, some very strange! We had an extremely civilised picnic lunch on the lawns behind the Minster, and wandered happily through the narrow medieval streets near the Shambles. After tea we finished the evening by heading out for some highly competitive bowling action. Flamingoland tomorrow - here’s hoping there’s no age restrictions on the bumper cars!
