Year 1 ‘CAMOUFLAGE’ in the Forest! (Week 3)

1st Apr 2022

Year 1 enjoyed their third trip to Forest School this week.

The theme of our lesson on Wednesday was 'camouflage' - I wonder can anyone clap out this new word at home? We had great fun exploring the different colours in the forest and finding out about the different animals who like to camouflage in woodlands. Can you remember any? Everyone did an amazing job of camouflaging their different coloured worms...even the adults couldn't find them. After a quick revision of our 2D shapes, it was time for a tasty snack. Forest School certainly works up an appetite, and so, our breadsticks, cheese and fruit disappeared quickly.

On our way back to school we had a lovely surprise - a real fire engine was parked outside OCPS. The fireman very kindly helped us cross the road and let us have our photograph taken beside his emergency services vehicle. A lovely ending to another super day out.

Have a lovely weekend everyone - remember, parent PE workshop with Aubrey on Monday morning! (EY2 at 9am, EY1 at 10am)
