This week all of Year 7 were delighted to welcome Stephen and Jodie to Omagh County PS after having previously met them before at their own site, Parkanaur Forest Park.
Stephen and Jodie were here to deliver a 'Bounce Back' workshop which covered a range of topics including resilience, making friends, understanding feelings, working as a team and self-awareness.
The workshop used practical resources and relationship-building teaching strategies to explicitly teach social and emotional learning skills and promote pupil wellbeing and resilience.
The activities involved were fun and engaging, allowing the children to learn how to communicate more effectively with their peers, including the bridge building KNEX exercise. They set positive goals and discussed tools to help them through challenges.
