PIRATE DAY...Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!!

16th Jun 2017

Year Two and three had a fantastic Pirate Day at school. We started with a fashion show in the hall with every mean and nasty pirate introducing themselves to the whole school! Then we used our telescopes and went hunting for shiny treasure, both indoors and outdoors! After break, we had a very special visitor, 'Captain Strongarm', who had been ship-wrecked. He was here to recruit a new crew for his ship and put all the pirates through lots of challenges in the hall. Then we had to follow a map of our playground and find letters where 'x-marked the spot'. We had to work as a team to unscramble the letters to make a word.

After lunch we listened to pirate stories, sang pirate songs and enjoyed pirate play. Have a look at our fun photos! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!
